About the Recipe
Ingredients
-2 cups rolled oats
-1 tsp vanilla
-1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
-1/4 cup salted butter, melted (or you can use coconut oil)
-1/4 cup brown sugar
-1/2 cup chopped Valley Grown Walnuts (you can also use chopped almonds)
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/4 cup honey
Preparation
-Preheat oven to 300° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
-In a large bowl mix together your oats, walnuts, and cinnamon.
-In a seperate bowl mix together your melted butter, honey, maple syrup, vanilla, and brown sugar.
-Pour your wet ingredients over your dry ingredients and mix together until fully incorporated.
-Pour the granola mixture onto your baking sheet. Make sure to flatten your granola evenly on the pan.
-Bake the granola for 20-30 minutes depending on how crispy your like your granola. Remove the granola when you start to see the top turning a golden brown.
-Let the granola cool completely before removing it from the pan.
-Once cooled break the granola apart and store in an air tight container.
