About the Recipe

Ingredients
Party Mix
2 cups Chex cereal
2 cups animal crackers
1 cup Valley Grown almonds
2 cups pretzels and/or mini Ritz crackers
You can use any combination of the mix-ins above, aiming for about 7 cups total.
Maple Cinnamon Coating
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons maple syrup
½ teaspoon kosher salt
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Preparation
Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the Chex cereal, animal crackers, almonds, and any pretzels or mini Ritz crackers you are using to a large mixing bowl. Gently toss to combine.
In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup, salt, and melted butter until well combined.
Slowly drizzle the maple cinnamon mixture over the snack mix, gently tossing as you pour. Continue tossing until everything is coated as evenly as possible.
Spread the mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 30–40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes so the mixture bakes evenly.
Remove from the oven and allow the party mix to cool completely on the baking sheet. It will become crispier as it cools.
Once completely cooled, serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
Optional Valley Grown Twist
Walnuts can be used in place of the almonds, or try tossing Valley Grown Cinnamon Sugar Walnuts into the party mix after it has finished baking and cooled for even more cinnamon crunch.
