Walnut Brownies

About the Recipe


Ingredients for Brownies:

-3 stickers butter, softened

-2 cups granulated sugar

-1 tsp vanilla

-1 cup whole milk

-2 eggs

-¾ cup cocoa powder

-2 cups all purpose flour

-1 cup chopped walnuts

Ingredients for Frosting:

-½ cup butter, softened

-¼ cup cocoa powder

-⅓-½ cup milk (more or less for desired consistency)

-1 lb. box of powdered sugar

-1 tsp. vanilla


Method for Brownies:

-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

-Spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick spray

-Cream together your butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Slowly add in your eggs and vanilla until combined.

-In a medium bowl, mix together your flour and cocoa powder. 

-Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients while alternating with the milk.

-When the mixture is combined and smooth, stir in your chopped walnuts.

-Pour into your prepared baking dish and spread the batter evenly.

-Bake for 30 minutes.

Method for Frosting:

-Add all dry ingredients to a bowl and slowly add in the 1/3 milk and blend until you reach your desired consistency. Add more milk if needed.

-Poor frosting over slightly cooled brownies, and spread the frosting evenly.

-Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream and extra chopped walnuts for an extra sweet treat!
